I also have the qualification of\u00a0<strong>Specialist in Clinical Psychology<\/strong>\u00a0awarded by the Ministry of Education, which is an official requirement for all clinical psychologists.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve also done a\u00a0<strong>postgraduate course in\u00a0<em>Peritaci\u00f3 i Defensa del Trastorn Mental<\/em><\/strong><em>\u00a0<\/em>(the expert assessment of psychological health for use in court) and a\u00a0<strong>postgraduate course in the Techniques and Basic Principles of Cognitive Therapy<\/strong>.\u00a0 I am currently doing a\u00a0<strong>Master\u2019s Degree in Social Cognitive Therapy<\/strong>. Since then, I\u2019ve worked for several different organisations and for a private consultancy. My main professional activity for the last 20 years has been at a Psychological and Psychiatric Clinic, working as part of a multidisciplinary team. I work with adults and adolescents with a wide range problems including anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, grieving, adjustment disorders, separation and stress.<\/p>\n<p>My&nbsp;<strong>theoretical outlook<\/strong>&nbsp;is&nbsp;<strong>integrative<\/strong>. In addition to techniques learned during my training in&nbsp;<strong>cognitive-behavioural<\/strong>&nbsp;and<strong>constructivist&nbsp;<\/strong>theories, I also draw on the approaches used in<strong>Systemic<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Gestalt<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Humanist<\/strong>&nbsp;Psychology.<\/p>\n<p>My main aim when giving therapy is to help patients to cope with the situation they face, while at the same time helping them to develop as a person and extend their ability to deal with their own problems.
